Iran’s Parliament Speaker Cites Multiple Breaches in Ceasefire Proposal

Iranian parliament speaker Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf has alleged that several key provisions of the country’s 10-point plan to end the conflict have been disregarded prior to the commencement of negotiations. This includes a purported agreement between Pakistani Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and Iranian officials that the ceasefire would extend to Lebanon, as well as an incident involving an unauthorized drone entering Iranian airspace, which Ghalibaf described as a blatant infringement of the terms. Furthermore, Iran’s right to enrichment was also a component of the 10-point plan. In light of these developments, Ghalibaf has expressed skepticism about the feasibility of negotiations, arguing that the foundation for a workable agreement has been compromised even before talks began.
