During a phone conversation with his Spanish counterpart, José Manuel Albares, Al Thani highlighted the necessity of halting Iran’s unjustified aggression against Qatar and other regional countries, as reported by the Qatari foreign ministry in a recent post on X.
The two officials reaffirmed their commitment to finding a solution through dialogue, with Al Thani urging a return to the negotiating table and prioritizing reason and wisdom to mitigate the crisis.
In a show of support, Albares expressed Spain’s solidarity with Qatar, while emphasizing the importance of de-escalation, protecting civilian infrastructure, and ensuring the safety of the energy sector.
