US President’s Escalating Rhetoric Sparks Concerns of Increasing Aggression

Observers are interpreting US President Donald Trump’s latest inflammatory social media post as a sign that he is becoming increasingly irate and more willing to take drastic action, according to Hassan Ahmadian, a University of Tehran assistant professor of political sciences, speaking to Al Jazeera.
“It’s clear that Trump’s tone is becoming more aggressive by the day, which may indicate that he’s facing mounting difficulties,” Ahmadian noted. “By intensifying his threats, Trump hopes to create a greater sense of urgency among Iranians and persuade them to reconsider their stance.”
Ahmadian pointed out that while Trump’s threats are unlikely to be fulfilled, he can still inflict significant damage on Iran, a prospect that Tehran has vowed to counter with equal force.
“The situation has become increasingly complex since the conflict began, with Trump failing to achieve any of his objectives,” Ahmadian said.
