Israeli Pressure Forces Closure of Renowned Palestinian Advocacy Group

Following a 35-year legacy of championing Palestinian children’s rights, Defense for Children International – Palestine has been compelled to discontinue its operations in the face of what it terms “Israel’s deliberate and systematic efforts to suppress Palestinian human rights organisations.”

The organisation has issued a statement highlighting the dire circumstances faced by Palestinian children, who are subjected to a complex web of “genocide, apartheid, military occupation, and the rapid proliferation of unlawful Israeli settlements.”

In a poignant farewell, the group acknowledged its unwavering commitment to safeguarding Palestinian children’s interests over the years, only to be left with no choice but to entrust others with the responsibility of securing a brighter future for these vulnerable youngsters.
