RawalPindiz Bolster Pace Attack with Kiwi Pacer Ben Sears Amid Naseem Shah Injury

RawalPindiz have bolstered their pace attack by signing New Zealand fast bowler Ben Sears, who is set to join the squad following a stint with the New Zealand A side in Sri Lanka. The 27-year-old pacer, who boasts an impressive international record with 31 T20I wickets and 10 ODI scalps, is expected to arrive tomorrow pending clearance. Sears’ signing comes as RawalPindiz grapple with injury concerns in their fast-bowling department, particularly with Naseem Shah sidelined due to a side injury sustained in their recent match against Karachi Kings. Although Shah remains part of the squad, he is undergoing a medical assessment on April 15, with the team’s management hopeful of his return later in the tournament if recovery progresses as planned. A seasoned international cricketer, Sears is set to make his PSL debut and has previously featured in Major League Cricket for Washington Freedom. RawalPindiz, led by captain Mohammad Rizwan, have struggled in their PSL 11 campaign so far, with four defeats and no wins. Their next fixture is against Quetta Gladiators on April 10 at the National Stadium in Karachi.
