RawalPindiz Make Strategic Roster Adjustment Ahead of PSL 11 Showdown

In a move to mitigate the impact of injuries, RawalPindiz have identified a suitable replacement for Naseem Shah, who has been sidelined due to a side injury sustained during their recent encounter against the Karachi Kings. The Pakistan Super League (PSL 11) franchise has confirmed that Naseem Shah’s recovery will be closely monitored by the team’s medical staff, with a possible return anticipated towards the end of the tournament, contingent upon his rehabilitation progress and fitness clearance. As a precautionary measure, all-rounder Mubasir Khan has been brought in as a partial substitute for the right-arm fast bowler. Khan, who has prior experience in the Pakistan Super League, having played for Islamabad United in the seventh and eighth editions, has a modest record of 49 runs in 14 matches and two wickets. Meanwhile, RawalPindiz have bolstered their bowling lineup by signing New Zealand fast bowler Ben Sears, who joins the team following injuries to key pacers Naseem Shah and Zaman Khan. Sears, who was signed for Rs. 2.5 crore, will make his PSL debut and brings a wealth of international experience, having taken 31 wickets in 27 T20 Internationals and 10 wickets in four One Day Internationals for New Zealand. Additionally, Jalat Khan has replaced Zaman Khan, who suffered a dislocation of the acromioclavicular (ACJ) joint in his right shoulder during the National T20 Cup 2026. The Mohammad Rizwan-led RawalPindiz are set to face the Quetta Gladiators in their next PSL match on April 10.
