3. The Four Seasons of Gilgit Baltistan

In Gilgit Baltistan the four seasons are clearly distinguishable. The spring season starts in March-April , the summer season starts in April-May and lasts till August-September. The colorful Autumn season starts in October and Winter starts in November. December and January is extremely cold when temperature drops to -15 in Skardu, Hunza , Ghizer and Ghanche.

Gilgit Baltistan has more glacier than any where in the world. There are more than 2000 glaciers in Karakoram and Himalayas in Gilgit Baltistan. Karakoram is more glaciated than Himalayas.
