Israel Readies for US Approval to Strike Iran’s Energy Backbone

Reports are emerging from Israel that high-ranking military officers and security advisors have been sharing insights with local media.
Sources indicate that the upcoming phase of Israel’s aerial campaign will focus intently on the energy sector, with potential targets including power plants, transmission networks, and other critical infrastructure set to be hit in the coming days.
This timing coincides with the 48-hour deadline imposed by US President Donald Trump, underscoring a coordinated effort between the two nations.
In a video address on Saturday evening, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu outlined the objectives of the air force’s campaign, which has expanded to target Iran’s broader infrastructure, including dual-use industries such as the steel sector.
According to Netanyahu, approximately 70 percent of Iran’s steel industry has been crippled, with the justification being that the steel produced is being diverted to manufacture armaments.
Furthermore, petrochemical facilities and their associated materials are now also being targeted, as Netanyahu described them as being used to facilitate ‘terrorism’ against Israel and the global community.
